나는 Praha 城으로 간다

The Castle


볼타바 강 건너 고풍스러움을 간직한체 우뚝 솟아 있는 아름다운 城.

죽기 전에 봐야 한다는 100의 건축물 중 하나인 Praha 城은

Praha 를 대표하는 건축물로 옛 보헤미아 군주들이 살았고 카프카가 주변을 맴돌며 '城'을 써낸 곳이다.

9세기 후반부터 카를 4세의 지시로 시작하여 1700년대의 대대적인 건축으로 무려 900년간에 걸쳐

현재의 모습을 갖추기 시작했다.

대관식이 거행되는 장소와 왕궁으로 사용되다가 합스부르크 왕가 지배 시기에는 왕궁이 구시가지로 옮겨졌다.

체코슬로바키아가 독립한 이후에는 대통령 집무실이 이곳에 마련되어 현재도 계속 사용되고 있다.

The Castle Rule...
우리는 보통 사회적인 계급이라고 칭한다.
신분제도가 없어진지 이미 오래 되었지만 (1894년 갑오개혁때부터)
나는 신분제도가 없어진 것에 대해 향수어린 미련을 갖고있다.
나는 지금 그 정신적 사회계급을 찾으러 Praha 城으로 간다.

Hasten lest they sour A deed brought to the tomb

Careless as a willow Lonely limbs just limp in life awhile

Constant as an oak To touch the weathered home

Ages churn and wallow Through hands pass as they grope

Past and future splayed astride The hollow heaving chest

Gnarled hands curve to inscribe The fading notion useless
Heedless shall we swallow

Our riddles never spoke With the merit of no answer

To meliorate the joke Wind away the hours Laid up to the sun
